Marcus Fenix — Main Character of Gears of War
The protagonist of Gears of War: E-Day. A young soldier of the Coalition of Ordered Governments, hardened by the Pendulum Wars — about to face something far worse. His journey through Emergence Day shapes the hero of the original trilogy, and Marcus remains the main character of the Gears of War series, voiced by John DiMaggio.
Dom Santiago — Marcus Fenix's Best Friend
Marcus's best friend and brother-in-arms. Loyal, fierce and deeply human, Dom is the emotional anchor of the story — and his fate is one of the most powerful threads in Gears lore. He fights alongside Marcus through E-Day and the original trilogy, including the famous "dom in gears of war" moments fans still talk about.
The COG (Coalition of Ordered Governments)
Humanity's military government. E-Day shows the COG at a moment of catastrophic failure and brutal adaptation — the leaders who would later shape the Hammer of Dawn and the post-Emergence Day military machine.
The Locust Horde
The monstrous, subterranean enemy that erupts on E-Day. Drones, Wretches and far worse — the Locust are the defining threat of the Gears universe.
